EVOLUTION

Who'd a thunk it that this lovely image of 'Apricot Sparkles' could be taken through such strange manipulations and turned into something totally unrecognizable!
That is what I do though; take a normal image and process it through multiple steps, including the use of various "filters" to eventually "morph" the simple into the WEIRD!
"Why?" you ask, well, for no other reason then simply that, "I can"!

Apricot Sparkles "Pop Art" - one bloom with 4 different "color treatments". Treatments are stitched together horizontally, and then Align Centervertically. The background is then removed. Then additional processes render the finished images that follow. (Shows up as a white background here, but it is really transparent.

"Mirrored Orbs" would be a good title for this one.

Rotated to the right, flipped and different effects added. This one is not currently titled.

I call this one - "Comma" - real original, eh!

INSOMNEIA DRIVEN "ART"

Following are a few of the the other things I've come up with during a rash of sleepless nights. All were fractals originally and the processed through 'Liquib' a program I got from Whizical.com

This is the original image I used to create the Valentine shown below:

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY - BETTER LATE,

. . . .THAN NEVER!

Thought I'd show the Valentine I created for this year. Done by manipulating a fractal image and by adding a background using Photoshop and then adding the frame using another program.

UP TO MY OLD TRICKS!

I've been up to my old tricks of taking perfectly good flower images and transforming them into totally weird and radical "works of art". Some were too large in their original format to up load, so I made a few web sized copies of them. One of my personal favorites is "Light Within" and I hope you find it an interesting piece as well. These images go through many processes to reach their finale look and you will see a couple that are very similar, because they did come from the same original image but with either different or additional transformations being done. Look at the one s titled "Slice n Dice", "Ripples n Swirls" and Special FX 2", "Slice n Dice" was the original transformation. "Raving Waves" started out as a close up of a pink daylily blue that was first "solarized" and then taken through several different distortions before finally being given the "oil pastel" treatment, adding the shadow and signing it. It is the only one done completely in PhotoShop Elements 2. Other were processed through as many as three - 4 different programs to get the desired end results. Hope you enjoy them all; they certainly were fun to create!
